Apple are allowed to change their minds about the purpose of iPod / iTunes ( just like a woman , as we keep on being reminded! ) :-)

I've wondered about trying to do it myself but decided against it as I've no idea if it would work ... I should google that! ;)

iPad 1 does not support HDMI out, so I'm assuming no, it doesn't work.
Last time I checked, the accessory worked with iPad 1 at 720p.

Wow, this would be amazing. Screw my plan to buy an ACD if this happens. A MacBook and a 23" iMac would look awesome on my new glass desk. ;)All you need is an external keyboard, mouse and a $700 Dell 24" Display to exceed a 23" iMac Caitlyn. Your MacBook is just as powerful as today's iMacs are. Put a FW 400GB HD on the floor and you're good to go. ;)

If it's all just speculation, why be so quick to shout "privacy invasion" when you don't know the full story? It can't be one rule for you and another for everyone else.

According to the stats all you fine people are posting Apple is now simply growing as fast as all of the other small fast growing PC companies, mostly at Dells expense.
Although my guess is Mac sales will now have a nice peak and LEAD the PC industry around and just after Christmas, this will happen year after year.
Kids will return their regular PCs after Christmas to BUY A MAC ! WOOPPPY !!!
Thus, I think it is very likely that Leopard will be announced right after WWDC and that will lead to EXTREMELY high Mac sales at Christmas this year as it is now clear the Mac is the IN COMPUT and Mac groupies such as myself will be trading up after Leopard and the new laptop design ships :p

No, I did not mean the traditional GPS. I was referring to the one that the 911 system uses. I don't think that can be turned off.

Not at all. It's pretty easy to clean too, just use a damp paper towel.
Another thing I noticed, if anyone still has their 1st generation iPod Touch's stand (the little plastic default one that came with it), it works pretty well on the 4th generation iPod with the Grip Vue case.

Heartwarming as the death and destruction being visited on the regime in Tripoli may be, the ongoing glee on the one hand and disinformation on the other being willingly retailed by the mass media is sickening. The truth is that we have absolutely no idea what is really going on. The information from Twitter appears to be wildly inaccurate, even misleading, and the information from reporters on the ground seems to be pure guesswork informed by propaganda. Truth, as ever, is the first casualty of war, and nobody seems to care as long as they can fabricate a good narrative.
