Now I have seen many people filed on June 2007 get GC approvals. Now onwards their number is keep on increasing. Please put your details on this thread to see the trend. I think all Jun 2007 filers will get GC for the 2008 quota. Provided their I-140 is approved and NC is cleared.

I got stuck in FBI name check for over 2+ years (24+ months)... run out of
patience or anything :mad: . I now decide to sue them by filing writ of mandamus in court. I'd like to have an experienced attorney do it for me. I'm looking for an attorney who is responsible and responsive, has been successful in filing writ of mandamus for clients to get the name check moving. On July 27, I sent my I-485/I-765 to the TSC. Case was delivered on July 31. I have no receipts, my checks have not been cashed. I called NCS, they asked me to wait two more weeks.

I applied online for EAD on 10/23, no finger priting notice yet was asked to wait 30 days to enquire about it. All materials sent to NSC as mentioned, my I-485 is pending at TSC. Did anyone go through the same delay?
that is how ineffecient they are, best thing you can do is, site that your h1 will expire and u dont have plans of h1 renewal and u planning to use EAD, i dont know what else could be more extreme than not having an EAD when you want to use it :)

receiving RFE during 485 stage has become more of a common thing. Dont worry about it. Once you get the letter, prepare a response with the right evidence with the help of the attorney, and you should be fine.

Your extension may be become invalid. We use I94 number in the extension application form. when you get extension approval you have the extended I94 for the same number.
If you have traveled you have different i94 from the recent travel and different one in extension.
Do you have any source on this....I also had to amend my H1B last month. Its done without any issues..

my 140 was approved a week and a half back ..and i asked my attorney ..if my date was successfully ported..and he is refusing to divulge the information and telling me to contact my company..
1.) i know 140 is a employers prerogative and all that jazz..but should i not get a copy..or at least some basic information?
2.) Am i wrong is even asking for that information?

There is no information or caption on our home page that clearly states that this site/group is for highly skilled immigrants. We should come up with a caption that would convey this and also convey that its for all countries. We can add this beside the immigration voice logo.
The caption should be catchy and should convey the info....some thing like "by the people and for the people".
update: there is info about highly skilled immigrants on the home page but not sure if some people would have time to read these (especially those who just come in from other websites and might think this site is one of those immigration sites)
I think there is an article on front page. Also I am personnaly right now more interested in grass root state chapter person to person campaigning rather tha online campaigning. I think time has come to show the faces and numbers to each other. I appreciate your comments and my intention here is to just give an update. I am sure somebody from core is reading this and will take action if they like the idea....

We are all paying tax for years and the way USCIS works...we would get the GC only by next birth. This is very ridiculous rule.

My wife is not on AOS status, she's only H4, what I am asking about here, if I used AP would this void her H4? Because as far as I understand, her H4 status will only be void if I used my EAD not AP

My attorney applied for me. I am not sure what needs to be done if you want to apply yourself. AP will be valid for 1 yr and requires renewal every yr.
