I am one who missed the 2007 july boat...even though i filed in 2007 (485) my I-140 denied and we lost ead,ap and every thing..
if they give at least EAD my wife can start work..i can also look direct client in this tough situaitons...its very diffucult to get mange in the work with H1b...
please every body share with more information regarding this.

Unfortunately Yes...i had infopass appointment on monday and IO told me samething. NC has to be cleared before 485 can be approved. But they are targeting they will clear NC within 180 days after Feb 2009.

you can re-enter with previous visa stamp with company A's annotation as long as it is still valid..however, you need to have the latest I-797 approval notice from your current employer and show it to the immigration officer at the poe...

USCIS is fishing form I485 application pool, in approvable cases, 2006 cases are nearest and an easy catch.

No worries. I have travelled through Frankfort with AP and had no issues. In fact, an officer did ask me for my US visa and i showed him the AP document. Seems to me that frankfort officials do understand the AP document.

Not sure what they do in the secondary inspection.. In my case they asked no questions at all.. Just asked me to sit and wait while they entered / checked something in their system. I was in and out within 20 mnts.
What is the secondary inspection about? Is it just sitting and waiting while they do some checks on our file or do we have to answer some questions? Please let me know

Hi All,
Could any please provide some insight about the companies "Unemployment Wage report" for the state of California?
This is the only query as stated in the 221(g) form got from Chennai embassy for your reference.
"State Unemployment Wage Reports, showing all wages paid to each employee in the state, for the past two quarters as filed to State of California (This should not be payroll reports, but the actual forms filed to the State authorities listing each employee and wages paid during the quarter.)"
Could you please provide me the exact form name and number to submit through the dropbox. Also some explanation if possible on how the form will look like in order to track it down?
Any help in this regard is greatly appreciated.

The H1B are positioned better as they can relocate quickly. Most of USC and GC dont relocate due to housing ownership. While H1B homeownership is low.
I personally know atleast 20+ USC not willing to move to greener grounds just because they have house.
Housing did create a biased USC/GC jobseeker.

The hostile environment does not end with the new H-1B petitions. Report indicates that the H-1B workers are increasingly stranded abroad not being able to obtain the visa stamp abroad pending so-called protracted security checks and consequently not being able to return to the U.S. to resume employment. Should this environment continue, the business environment for the U.S. businesses will continuously deteriorate and the businesses will continuously suffer unless they take out their businesses and jobs abroad to meet the needed workforces in order to stay in business in increasingly competitive global economy. Nothing will be able to stop the offshore outsourcing of the U.S. businesses. This is something the Obama Administration should think about very quick before too late.

Does your Attorney says that counter will start from Aug 28, 2007 ?
Did he say anything about Aug 28, 2007 falling out of Aug 17, 2007 limit date for filing AOS and can that cause any issues?

....and I understand that. I would be pissed off too if my priority date was earlier and my status was still pending. I actually believe that this is a fight for all of us and that is one of the reasons, I have contributed before and will continue to contribute to IV. This does not change the fact that I am in a messy situation. I posted to get some advise not to antagonize people.

I had to renew my H1 visa, so was wondering what would happen if my GC was to get approved and my dependents remain pending, before the h1 is applied. My GC is still pending, hope to see some Green soon....maybe this year. All the best for all of you.
