I understand I can switch jobs with my EAD.
I want to switch from EB3 category to EB2 since I will be current under EB2 with my PD of July 2003. What is the process I have to follow to make this switch?

Three steps,
1. Your employer or a future employer should file a new Labor for a job that has EB2 requirements and you should be eligible under these requirements.
2. Then apply for an EB-2 140 for this approved Labor by using PD substitution (from your earlier 140). This 140 will be approved under EB-2 and will have your earlier PD.
3. Now you can replace the underlying 140 of your 485 application with the newer one and you will be all set.
Easier said that done though...as PERM in Atlanta is taking a long time and 140 is taking a long time too without Premium processing.

I think it is useful to state search the forum so that people stop asking questions which really irritates other people since it has been discusses in detail in several threads. Let the guy ask. I see a couple of times somebody asking a question, and instead of answering people ask to search at the forum first....
why not just respond if possible or just ignore. I think posting a reply to say to search first is not very usefull at all.

I received RFEs from my attorney and mine is on BC and my wife's is on Marriage Certificate + marriage photo and USCIS requested me to submit non avialability ceritifcate. I do have a BC with all the details but registered date is oct,2007 (That's when i applied for BC) instead of old date.
Is it a problem ? Do i have to submit anything more

Change add' online in USCIS website. After few days you will receive confirmation letter. Also send AR-11 for to DHS and confirm with USCIS.
FYI, i saw 2 LUDs on 485 & EAD from the day i changed the address online.
I changed my address online and confirmed my address with cSR.
I didn't send AR-11 form though.
I didn't get any confirmation mail for address change to the new address..
Is this fine?

Hi,
I had the same scenario... only the dates are different.
You will get only ONE STAMPING On your passport and that will be till the end of your 3rd year( Till Second H1 exp. date)

3) I have been searching monster, indeed etc to find a sponsorer for my visa, i attended 2 interviews till now and cleared them too but when it comes to work permit they are not willing to do h1 for me. I have lost all hopes and posting here to find out if there are any companies who are willing to do h1b.
Try not to going through any consulting stuff just to file in April. Consulting companies are going through rough phase and USCIS is getting very strict with them (this is just my preception from what I am hearing around).
I am little into CRA position right now working for university. send me pm if you need info.

Guys,
Your help/guidance is needed on this strange situation.
I am still in India and I have got my H1B1 approved thru one employer. I am waiting on few documents from my employer who is in US. I am still waiting for these documents so that I can go for Visa stamping.
Apparantly, this employer is causing some issues in giving me all my supporting documents.
My question: can I find some other employer and transfer my H1B1 and then go for stamping thru this new employer?
You experience, knowledge will be appreciated.

You cannot apply for transfer your present H1 to new employer...The kind of documentation required will not available with you at this time..so filing for a new H1 is very good option...

Hi,
We applied for EAD and Adv parole renewal on July 2nd for my wife. Her new EAD card was received in September and no word on the Adv Parole yet. Online status still shows 'case received and pending'.
She had her previos Adv Parole expiring on Oct 22nd. She left to India on Oct 1st. Now that her previous Adv Parole has expired and new one still not approved, will they allow her to enter US?
