What was your PD ,and wating time for I-140.(ie I-140 applied and approved date.)
OK I'm from ROW EB3. PD Apr 2003. 140 and 485 were filed concurrently in June 2004. I 140 was approved in 1 week (I guess because my son was aging out) and I-485 for all family were approved in June 2007.

How can we collect signatures and send to them?
My friend was mentioning that :ppl sent flowers/cards to uscis last year when they had some issue with making priority dates current.
Can we do something similar with Atlanta DOL.:confused:

Finally I was greened after 4 years and 3 months from my I-140 approval date.
I opened a SR yesterday and today my CPO e-mail came to my mailbox. However my wife's status says
"On August 2, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later."
Do you know what does it mean?:confused:
I am not sure whether opening a SR helped or not. Good luck to everyone. Remember GC is something but not everything in life. Being healthy and spending quality time with your family are more important than GC.
Congrats Masterji. BTW, how were you able to open the SR. I called them this morning and they told me that my PD became current yesterday so I should wait for 30 days before calling them back.

It looks like to me that Porters strike again. they have eaten all the Visa's. very few approvals so far. I am worried about next bulletin now. dates can go back now. every EB3 is porting to EB2.

Please note that even tho the dates have moved, we are not out of the woods. There is a definate possibililty that the dates could regress in October. If you choose consular processing and your category/country retrogresses then it will have implications. Talk to your lawyer before taking any decision.
If you are lucky then its straightforward, for some its a nightmare, namecheck can take some time in the meantime your category can regress.
I'm trying to make decision to pick consular or Adj. status.
Please, can somebody tell me the flow on Adj. status here.
1-File 485.
2. Finger Print notice (you said around 30 days)
3.?? (medical??)
4.?? (FBI??)
5.??
and total approximate time for same center for all family.
I really apreciate if you can also write your experience to compare Consular and Adj. status.

Where can i download a sample 485 form? I am thinking of getting all the papers in order and then sending it to the lawyer, this way we can avoid errors from lawyer side. For this i need pdf format of all the forms. if someone can get hold of all the pdf forms and upload here/somewhere else it will help everyone.

Convince your employer and file 485 as soon as possible. With the huge volume of the applications who knows what will happen, they might move the date back again.

I filed on March 26th in TSC (paper filing). Got receipt dated April 7th. Still waiting. I cannot continue the job as my H1B expired. Anybody knows what should I do to get it expedited. I guess people at USCIS are very unpredictable and work according to the mood. I did not anticipate this as earlier I filed EAD for my wife and son and I got it in three weeks.

For comment 2: Since you are giving IV address, you can use IV's name and request to check reference of the sheets which contains name,case....etc.
Comment 1: Actually, I dont know if I should use IV address, and the way I wrote at the top on the letter is the right way. And if so what exactly should we use, just the URL?
Comment 2: The sheets/sign-offs are from people with 'Pending Audit' Audit status, it might be a good idea to somehow describe that in the letter or put it at the bottom. I am not sure how do we tell that these people signed the letter. Do you get my point?
For case number, I already asked the same question to Ron and posted the reply. He believes, if there is no case number and there wont be any weightage or immportance.
