I definately finish all the events I participate in. This is the first time I am going to be raising funds for a cause I support and this is the first time I registered as a member of a Team for the entire year. I have supported some friends raise funds for the causes they support but never did one myself.
I have never run before............not even a mile. I still cannot and have just started training for the DC 10 miler. So please do not feel shy about running even if this is your first time. We are willing to answer any questions that you might have...........but please signup; set a target and start ASAP. Worst case you will end up walking instead of running.

Hello Guys,
For the next few months, we can either point finger at others (EB3 to EB2 and EB2 to EB1) or we can think through and come up with some solution for everyone. I don't know if pointing finger will help, but thinking and trying MIGHT. Do you guys think we should do that instead of looking at how guys are misusing EB1 ?
Flowers, some "public gathering and march", etc...

Over last 5 years, good to see IV getting stronger and better in articulating it's ideas and raising awareness with USCIS.

Canadians don't have as many problems as Indians, but a broken system doesn't work for anyone. I know of Canadians who are also very frustrated with the system, myself included.

Can you please update your profile.
And you said "As some of you know...." . Were you trying in these lines before too. Can you direct me to any one of your forums more than 2 months old where we can see what you did before.
Trust me, in the past we knew of some guys who tried to distract the forum attention with proposals of doing somethings in the lines as you have said. Their goal is to distract and divert attention.
Not that we do not trust you, but we expect you have atleast your profile updated.
What do you do, when you come across someone who says I can get you a big job done for you, as I have contacts.. Not blindly trust, right.. We also check he his credentials. I am to some extent doing that, to be frank, not that everyone has profiles here with real information.
I told about you to my friends, and they asked me "Why do we trust him, dont you think he may be a Canadian who is trying to distract these innocent Indians and hence make sure they remain in backlogs"...

you cannot take one guy's response and generalize.
Majority of EB2 members understand the problems faced by EB3. They are willing to work together. However it must be something better than the status quo.
The strategies and solution presented must benefit vast majority of people rather than one specific group.
I am totally against any effort that undermines one group and favor's other.

not a bad idea. Only that those who came here on an F-1 will need to get an F4 (something like a dual-intent work visa) after graduation. those of us who came here on F-1 and worked hard for GREs and through grad school did it only because we wanted to settle down here.
See, if you had immigrant intent, the F1 should have been denied. There should be no dual intent for any work visa whether F4 or H1 or L1, period. If the worker is supposed to be in a permanent job, only option should be to get a green card. The current system has encouraged a bad habit of pretending that permanent workers are really temporary workers who would eventually go back.

It is quite childish to create a new id every time you want to say something negative. Your message may be simple and straight forward, but it lacks the integrity or any trust worthiness.
This thread has gone anywhere. It could be simply because of the lack of EB3 I members participation. There is a definite lack of support from the vested parties and a few are discrediting this solution from getting traction and to top it all, I don't see any rational explanation against this. All I see is uncivilized personal attacks, self gloating and people who love to have fun at the misery of others.
As I said before, I will go ahead and do research on what we can do about it and use my years of invested social capital to see if I can do something about it. Once I get some thing substantially done, I will come here for support.
For the "skillz" person, I personally enjoyed your rants. I have/had chances to know personally and professionally many Stanford graduates, I believe they are not as much as fun as you are. :)

EB2 group should unite and lobby hard to ensure that the current equation EB1 > EB2 > EB3 is not disturbed. After all, everyone is selfish when the pins are down. EB2 friends, can we be proactive and protect our interests before it is too late? Nothing to get emotional about

You should have only one I485 application pending at a given time. If you file a second application your lawyer would advise you to withdraw the first one.
Personally, I prefer an AOS to consular processing since I am in a stable job and of course my spouse would need EAD.
So the answer to your question is that you do what is best given your situation.
Also, since dependants are currently counted in the 140,000 available EB visa, it does not matter if you use one or both of your approved 140.

Here is one incident, your daughter (obviously her IV handle has to be neednohelp! or IGotIt) was carrying one big placard, heavy for her and bigger than her size, and trying to put it with all other placards after we finished at capitol hill. When I, Bhavesh and vnky asked her if we can help, she said thanks, I got it. Then my wife said no wonder she is needhelp!'s daughter.
